Recently we went to NTR Gardens as a part of school excursion programme. Built in the memory of late Shri N T Rama Rao (known for Andhra Pradesh’s distinct cultural identity), NTR Gardens is a small urban park.
This popular park is centrally located next right to IMAX and adjacent to Hussain Sagar Lake in Hyderabad. By looking through the windows of our school bus, I observed many other tourist attractions such as Birla Mandir, Necklace Road and Lumbini Park on the way to NTR Gardens.
NTR Gardens – One of its Kind:
The entrance plaza with a fountain was really fascinating to welcome us. It is a nice tourist spot with a variety of colourful flowers. Well-maintained garden by Buddha Purnima Project Authority.
Besides a variety of plants, flowers and a fountain, the gardens also house toy train, a souvenir complex, a Japanese garden, fruit restaurant, Machan tree and a waterfall.
Instead of calling it as a park, one can term it as a small amusement park. Lots of rides and gaming zones are there…Sky Scrapper, Scary House etc are good. View of Hyderabad city from Sky scrapper ride (Columbus) is amazing!
I also really enjoyed the statues of large insects and trees in a serene atmosphere.
Floral & Greenery Bushes:
The park is a very beautiful place with wide pathways. It was a pleasure being amongst all the greenery away from the dusty and the crowded city.
We, all our classmates, had everything to relax at this popular amusement park. We had a good time there and I would definitely recommend this place to my parents. An evening well spent in a beautiful ambience!!
It’s aptly said the evening of a well-spent life brings its lamps with it.
Thank you, teacher, for taking us to such a beautiful place!
